Andre Johnson Announces Retirement from NFL

14-Year Veteran Leaves Game As Titans' All-Time Leading Receiver

Johnson's Career Highlights and Legacy

Andre Johnson, the former Pro Bowl wide receiver, has announced his retirement from the NFL after 14 seasons. Johnson, who played for the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Indianapolis Colts during his career, is the Titans' all-time leading receiver. He is also ranked 12th all-time in NFL receiving yards and 13th all-time in NFL receptions.

Johnson was drafted by the Texans with the third overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft. He quickly became one of the most productive receivers in the league, earning three Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro selections during his time in Houston. In 2015, Johnson was traded to the Titans, where he played for two seasons before signing with the Colts in 2017.

Johnson finished his career with 1,062 receptions for 14,185 yards and 70 touchdowns. He was known for his strong hands, size, and ability to make big plays. Johnson was also a respected leader in the locker room and was a mentor to many young players throughout his career.

In a statement released on his retirement, Johnson said, "I want to thank the fans of Houston, Tennessee, and Indianapolis for their support over the years. I've been blessed to play this game for 14 seasons, and I'm grateful for the memories I've made along the way."
